Nestled just beneath Shanklin Chine at the far end of Shanklin Esplanade is “Pub on the Beach” Fisherman’s Cottage. Frequented by discerning visitors and savvy locals alike, the pub dates back more than 200 years. Boasting the most enviable beachfront location, Fisherman’s Cottage is famed for its home-cooked lunches and dinners, and specialises in locally caught seafood — its famous fish and chip suppers come highly recommended.
