Set in a sheltered valley with sea views, these shrub- filled banks and grassy terraces surround an ancient manor house. There’s also a tea garden, plant sales and National Trust shop. 10 Mar-31 Oct, Sun-Thurs, 10.30am-5pm (last admission 4.30pm). Shop additionally open 7 Nov-21 Dec, Thurs-Sat, 11am-3pm. House open 26 May (guided tours 9.30am- 12, free flow 1pm-5pm, last admission 4.30pm) and 27 May (free flow, 10.30am-5pm, last admission 4.30pm; additional charges apply). Garden Gift Aid admission: adult £7.85, child £3.90, family £19.60. Garden standard admission: adult £7.10, child £3.50, family £17.70. National Trust members free.
