Restaurant head chef Tom Bull is one of the most talented chefs on the island. His carefully crafted seasonal menu allows ingredients to shine. Dishes are skilfully prepared, flavourful and refreshingly low on pretension. Meanwhile, at the heart of the hotel, the traditional Pump Bar serves well-kept local ales and bar classics. There's also the Naval Mess, which is modelled on a offcers messroom and decked out with naval paraphernalia. Dogs are welcome in both the bars. Bookings are highly recommended and the bars and restaurant are open to non-residents.
