A quirky cafe whose staff always greet visitors with a smile. Home-cooked food includes lasagna, cottage pie, 10 oz burgers, warm goat's cheese salad, all day breakfast and specialities including the South African Bunny Chow (doorstep bloomer bread baked in the oven filled with an authentic curry of your choice). It also offers a selection of wonderful cakes. Most of the menu is gluten free and it caters for vegetarians and other dietary requirements as necessary. With small cosy seating inside and alfresco tables outside in good weather, The Blue Door Cafe is one of the most popular family-owned cafes in Newport. Open from 9am for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Closed on Sundays. Outside catering also available for special events.
